Fence (2008)

 

Each part of this fence came from a different location.  Each fragment acts as a record of time (tree growth) but also as a record of the circumstances that led to the fence being put in a specific spot.  The work exists both in the positive material form depicted in these images but also in the negative voids that were left after the fragments were removed.
