Chairs (2000)

 

I made in the forest.  There were no paths leading to or from it. Someone would just accidentally find it. I liked that idea. Did the object matter?  Was the search more important? The photo collage was a result of not wanting to give away the location, make it kind of abstract, show more then just one view at one given time, and give it the context of material and time. I remember the sound of the trees creaking in the wind while I was working. I wanted to be a catalyst for people to directly experience it for themselves.
