Blocks of Material (2006)

This project was originally as part of the exhibition Come Up to My Room at the Gladstone Hotel 2006. The chairs were literally cut out of the material found on the adjacent wall – in this case wall paneling and mirror (reflective acrylic.) The chair shapes were stack laminated together and are solid. The mirror chair is made out of 1/2″ clear acrylic and caped with 1/8″ reflective acrylic. The mirror is supported by a wood frame.
