Lunch (2001)

A dinning room was created complete with custom furniture, wall hung images/text, and glass ware. The images/text on the wall references the history of the works included in the installation. The performance aspect consisted of the works actually being used (photo by Brendan O’Grady 2001.) The table was made by hand blowing glass plates, bowls, cups and a vase and and going through the process of setting the table. This resulted in the glass burning an image of itself in the table which was made out of both solid wood and wood grain Formica. The burn mark revealed which material was authentic.
