Overgrown @ MADE featured a found wooden chair that was re-assembled around a tree outside of a contemporary design store in Toronto. A continuation of Overgrown (2004-06), the intent was to make the chair appear to have sat there long enough for a tree to grow through it. After surviving the winter the chair and tree were hypothetically removed and re-installed in a small exhibition space (8′ cube) in the back of the store, along with images of a forest scene which folded into the space like a box.
